I never played soccer as a kid... Well, maybe an intramural game or two in gym
class. Too much running!
When I did play, I usually talked them into letting me play goalie.
I did, however, put a lot of quarters into an arcade game called Bally
World Cup Soccer when I was in high school.
I loved it so much that I once took a tour of the Bally Manufacturing
Company in Chicago to see if I could learn how they put the game together.
I even picked up a copy of the owners manual which included exploded
assembly drawings and a parts list.
I lost that manual decades ago,
but I have a pretty good memory for mechanical gizmos and how they work.
I started building a prototype a few months ago.
If it works, I’ll sell you one!
